IRS Notice CP504 warns that a tax balance remains unpaid and that the IRS intends to levy. The IRS says it may levy a state tax refund if the amount due is not resolved within 30 days of the notice date. Other collection actions may follow, subject to the notices and rights that apply to your case. For Wylie-area guidance, read Executive Tax Solution’s IRS Notice CP504 Wylie TX guide.
CP504 is a serious collection warning. Check the tax period, amount due, and date on your notice. If you cannot pay in full, contact the IRS or an authorized representative promptly to review the account and possible resolution options. A CP504 does not by itself mean the IRS will automatically freeze your bank account on day 31. The rules for other levies, including notice and hearing rights, depend on the circumstances.
